Picking Out Dog Pictures for Kids – What to Look For

Thank you for coming to Animal Blueprint Company to purchase a dog picture for your child. We have a diverse selection of magnificent sketches of all breeds. Most people buy their favorite breed, the one they own or have always wanted to own, but when it comes to dog pictures for kids, you might want to go with a breed that has a friendly demeanor and look. None of our dogs are posed in aggressive stances, but some may look intimidating to your child. Do you really want your two-year old waking up in the middle of the night screaming at the sight of that Doberman Pinscher?

Try going with the Labrador retriever or Dalmatian print if you have a smaller child. A German shepherd might be okay for a teenager, and you can never go wrong with a Collie. All of these breeds have had roles in film so your child will be familiar with them. They may even have a favorite memory from a movie they enjoyed. If they’re old enough to communicate that to you, ask them. You don’t have to tell them you’re buying a dog picture; just ask what their favorite dog is.

Speaking of movies, if you don’t find what you’re looking for here, you can always buy one of the many movie dog pictures for kids that are all over the internet. Lassie is still popular. Scooby Doo is timeless. Newer dog pictures include action shots of Air Bud, Underdog, and that lovable St. Bernard Beethoven. You could buy your children any one of those and then mount it side by side with one of our blueprints of the same breed. That will turn a pleasurable view into a learning experience that they’ll appreciate later on in life when they get their own dog.

Another great category of dog pictures for kids is famous works of art. The famous Fox Terrier print “His Master’s Voice” is one of our favorites. For those who haven’t heard the title before, it’s the logo for RCA records, or was until the company recently went out of business. Another favorite that you may or may not consider appropriate for children is “Dogs Playing Poker”. It’s not just a cheesy parlor piece. It was originally a series of paintings that was painted to promote the Brown and Bigelow Cigar Company. It was also one of the first examples of anthropomorphism in a painting.

Dogs are a human being’s best friend and most loyal companion. Love and respect for them is something you want to instill in your children early in their life if you can. What better way to do that than to mount a dog picture on their wall? If that picture is one of our animal blueprints, they will learn something about that breed of dog. If the breed is the type of dog you have in your home, they will understand and respect it more because of it. As the years go by, that could prove to be a valuable character trait.
